Please like, follow and share the link to my blog with someone struggling with an eating disorder, anxiety, depression or addiction.

The Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008 (MHPAEA) is a federal law that generally prevents group health plans and health insurance issuers that provide mental health or substance use disorder (MH/SUD) benefits from imposing less favorable benefit limitations on those benefits than on medical/surgical benefits. MHPAEA originally applied to group health plans and group health insurance coverage and was amended by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, as amended by the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (collectively referred to as the “Affordable Care Act”) to also apply to individual health insurance coverage.

#WISDOM WEDNESDAY

#wednesdaywisdom
As an author to a MEMOIR/SELF HELP book, my mission and on all my social media platforms is to inspire individuals to find hope in helpless situations. After writing for well over twenty years the knowledge I've gained through watching my family suffer with addiction and eating disorders has allowed me to share my story from a unique perspective. The wisdom I've gained was granted through my faith, compassion and willingness to never give up on helping those in need. As we all go through life, it is human nature to long for a purpose. Today I challenge you to dive deeper into your personal lives and take the knowledge you've gained and combine that with the wisdom you've been so fortunate enough to experience and take a moment to smile at a stranger. See how that makes you feel. You never know what might be going on in their life. With that being said...I want to share this story with you. The wisdom of this beautiful little girl will blow your mind. Today is a new day! Keep Smiling! https://youtu.be/AvyaM4CIagc

A GUIDE FOR UNDERSTANDING AND HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS SUFFERING FROM FROM AN EATING DISORDER

Just tell her to stop shares the wisdom of 40 families who experienced what it was like to go through living with their loved one struggling with an eating disorder. Every story is humbling and inspiring. The author Becky Henry’s daughter suffered from an eating disorder. Through research, hands-on experience and tanacity helped Becky out of the dark forest of eating disorder heartbreak. Becky is the founder of Hope Network, she now speaks to health care providers, leads classes and guides other families out of the dark forest into light, joy and hope.

Revovery from an eating disorder is a marathon not a sprint. Once families and loved ones come to this realization those who suffer will become more open to engaging with those who love them.
