Bulimia

Bulimia Nervosa is a disorder in which one has frequent episodes of binge eating followed by purging or ridding the body of food. Bulimics often vomit, use laxatives and diuretics, and/or compulsively exercise. Bulimics are not visibly underweight;yet like anorexics, they use food as a means of coping with psychological problems. Unlike anorexics, bulimics feel out of control and recognize their abnormal behaviors. two to five young girls out of 100 develop bulimia.
