In the photo below, I have my mom in a wheelchair as I wheel her home from a brief stay at a skilled nursing home during COVID at the end of my street. One of our last conversations was about how "life is a short trip" and the importance of protecting our mental health. We talked about praying for others and how toxic environments influence our mental and physical health. While I was happy to spend these moments with her, she passed away that night at home. The lesson... please be aware of toxic people. Sometimes we don't realize their impact on our health until it is too late.
